It’s Health and Nutrition week (Nov. 5-9) at Kidsplace! Our little ones will be busy learning ways to keep our bodies healthy and strong as well as some of those oh-so-important rules of hygiene.
Did you know a single sneeze can go as far as three feet? (Let’s all say “ewwww” together, now.) So imagine a room full of preschoolers during cold and flu season…you get the idea! We need your help to keep those nasty bugs at bay in our classroom. We depend on parent volunteers to help clean our room and toys, generally every other week. It only takes about an hour, and it qualifies as one of the mini-jobs that are a requirement for each Kidsplace family. Check with your teacher to see how you can help! (And a big thank you in advance!)
Reminders of All Sorts
Peak of the Market arrives this week! If you can help unload the truck between 5 and 6 p.m. on November 6, please contact our fundraising coordinator, Angeline, at byczekfamily@gmail.com. Orders MUST be picked up between 6:30 and 8 p.m.

Picture orders are due November 6, and Scholastic orders are due November 7.
Our Annual General Meeting is taking place November 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Calvin Christian School library (same building as Kidsplace). Please plan to attend this event to meet the teachers and board and find out what’s happening with your school!
And finally, our first field trip, to the Henderson branch of the Winnipeg Public Library, will take place November 15 (Tues/Thurs a.m. class, approx. 10 a.m.-11 a.m.; p.m. class approx. 2 p.m.-3 p.m. ) and November 16 (Mon/Wed/Fri class, approx. 10 a.m.-11 a.m.). It will include a special story time and some book browsing afterwards. As many of you may already have a library card, you are welcome to take out books, and for those of you who do not have a library card it is a good way to see what the library has to offer. Permission forms for this trip will be sent home soon.
Please note that parents/guardians are required to accompany the children on field trips. If you need to arrange for an alternate adult to accompany your child, please let the teachers know or indicate the name of the person on the permission form.
