Yeah, you’re groaning at that post title, aren’t you? That’s what happens when I’m tired. It’s the week after Spring Break, after all…you know, the week when parents need a vacation! Thankfully there’s lots coming up to keep our little ones busy, starting with some Easter fun this week (April 14 – 18) and moving on the Community Workers (and the fire hall field trip!) next week!
The kids will be hopping down the bunny trail this week with lots of fun Easter-themed activities! Please keep in mind that the school will be closed this Friday, April 18.
FIRE HALL FIELD TRIP
As mentioned, we have our always popular trip to the fire station (at McIvor and Rothesay) scheduled for the end of the month!
The Tuesday/Thursday morning class will make its visit April 22 while the Tuesday/Thursday afternoon class will visit April 24. The Monday/ Wednesday/Friday class will visit on April 25. Permission slips will be handed out in the next couple of weeks. These are short trips, and because the fire trucks could be called out on alarm at any given time, parents need to stay with their children or remain close by.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Thank you to everyone who participated in our final fundraiser of the year! We’ll be announcing the totals, and the winners of our fundraising incentives very soon! There’s snow on the ground now, but don’t forget it’s only a month and a half until plant pick up on May 24. We’ll need volunteers to help sort! Please let us know if you can help!
We’re also on the search for board members for the 2014-2015 school year. There are a variety of board positions open, so if you are thinking about joining us, please talk to one of the teachers or current board members as soon as possible. (And thank you!)
FOOTWEAR OFF, PLEASE!
And finally…please remember to remove all outdoor footwear (parents and children) prior to coming downstairs. Wet shoes make the stairs slippery and this is a safety concern for everyone that comes into the school. This is also one of the agreed upon policies Kidsplace Nursery School has with Calvin Christian School and it is important that we abide by it. Thanks for your attention to this matter!
