It was great to see so many of you at our Open House on Monday! We’re excited to get to know your children this year … the fun starts next week! Click through for a few things (like dates and times and what to bring!) to keep in mind as we approach that first exciting day at Kidsplace Nursery School!
DATES AND TIMES
During our first week of classes, class times are just one hour in length, to help the children get used to their new routine. The times are as follows:
Tuesday/Thursday A.M. Class
September 2, 9:45 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.
September 4, 9:45 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.
Tuesday/Thursday P.M. Class
September 2, 12:50 – 1:50 p.m.
September 4, 12:50 – 1:50 p.m.
Monday/Wednesday/Friday Class
September 3, 9:45 a.m. – 10:45 am.
September 5, 9:45 am. – 10:45 a.m.
WHAT TO BRING
Indoor shoes: VELCRO please!, comfortable, easy on, non-marking, to be left at school in shoe cubbies
Snack: peanut/nut free, one or two healthy choices and a small drink (juice, milk, water). Please remember that it is a snack to help hold the child over until their next meal. Note: No snack is needed the first week due to short class time.
Backpack: to carry home art/crafts completed at school
Change of clothes: just in case! Should be kept in backpack as we do not have room to store it at school.
Box of Kleenex and roll of paper towel: this helps with our supplies. To assist us with storage we will be assigning each class a specific time to bring in their Kleenex and paper towel rolls. First up for September: the Monday/Wednesday/Friday class!
A FEW THINGS TO REMEMBER
Please label everything with your child’s name! This includes hats, jackets, backpacks, snack bags, containers, shoes, etc.
Please enter and exit using Kidsplace doors only (do not come through Calvin Christian School as classes will be in session). Please ring the bell for assistance and another parent or teacher will open the door for you.
Please leave ALL outdoor footwear (including parents’ and siblings’) on the red mat at the top of the stairs. Students may store their indoor shoes in the shoe cubbies.
Please remember that when you are dropping off or picking up your child during the day, there are classes in session at Calvin Christian School. Please speak in low tones, and do not let young children run in the halls or go into any of the rooms. And, please do not bring food or beverages (particularly hot ones) into the school.
Teachers come out at the end of class to fill you in on the events of the day and share important information…please be sure to give them your full attention. Thanks so much…your cooperation is appreciated!
